If a player visualises the perfect drive, for example, their subconscious mind believes it is actually performing. As a result of hypnotic mental rehearsal, the neurological pathways towards success become more engrained making high level success easier and automatic. The more a player practises success mentally, the easier performing a skill becomes on the golf course.

Self-help tapes and videos, readily available on line cannot do this. They only offer general instruction, without ever being able to deal with your own personal problems.
